GameMap helps you discover Steam games using your game library, preferences and playtime. For privacy questions or data requests, contact hello@getnontagon.com.

Your profile and Steam

Your selected games, saved games, votes and imported library are kept in your browser so you can return to your profile. GameMap also uses a session cookie to associate requests with your profile. This cookie lasts up to 30 days.

If you sign in through Steam, Steam handles authentication. GameMap receives your verified Steam ID and can retrieve your public game library and playtime. GameMap does not receive your Steam password. A verified library can be stored for future recommendation training. Libraries entered through an unsigned Steam ID or file import are excluded from that training collection.

GameMap stores recommendation interactions and game feedback to operate and improve recommendations. Discovery events and sessions are scheduled for cleanup after 30 days. Saved training libraries and feedback can remain until removed; training already completed is not reversed by removing a library.

Usage analytics

We use PostHog to understand page visits, time spent on GameMap, referrals and use of features such as library imports, searches, saved games and votes. Events may include game IDs, counts, completion status, browser and device information, and a pseudonymous browser identifier stored in local storage. Our analytics configuration excludes Steam IDs, form contents and raw URL query strings. Session recording is disabled, and analytics respects your browser's Do Not Track setting.

Advertising

GameMap is being submitted to Google AdSense. When Google ads are enabled, Google and other advertising vendors may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses and similar identifiers to serve and measure ads. Google advertising cookies can enable personalized ads based on visits to this and other websites.

You can manage Google ad personalization at My Ad Center and learn more about how Google uses information from partner sites. Where an advertising consent message is displayed, use its controls to accept, reject or manage your choices. Browser settings also let you block or remove cookies.

Service providers

Cloudflare hosts GameMap and processes requests needed to deliver and protect the site, including network information such as IP addresses. Cloudflare also measures site traffic and performance. PostHog processes usage analytics. Steam provides sign-in, public library information and game content; loading external artwork or following a Steam link also sends a request to its provider. These services have their own privacy policies.

Your controls

• Export profile downloads your profile information.
• Remove library removes a saved library from future training.
• Disconnect Steam disconnects the Steam sign-in session.
• Delete my data clears the local GameMap profile and removes the associated server-side discovery events, feedback, training library and sessions.

These controls are available under Your profile. Clearing browser storage removes your local profile, but does not itself submit a server-side deletion request. For requests concerning provider-held analytics or other data, contact us using the address above. Please do not send passwords.
