Timberborn is for the Factorio player who wants to dam the river

Build a beaver town that can keep eating and drinking when the water stops flowing.

In Timberborn, the river is something you can do something about. Build dams, store water and keep your crops alive through droughts. Then find room for another workshop on top of the buildings you already have.

Our Algebra says Factorio + Banished. Maybe it’s the combination of keeping a population fed and getting distracted by an engineering project that should make everything run better. Water powers machinery as well as sustaining the town, so changing its route can solve one problem and create another.

The beavers are cute, but the planning can be unforgiving. Early mistakes with food and water can undo a settlement, and the growing collection of systems takes time to learn.

Our recommendation

Try it if a drought sounds like an excuse to build a bigger reservoir.
